Tis’ the season to cram in as many Christmas activities as you can whilst staying in London for December. Before you know it, it’s gonna be 2016 and it’ll be time to start these lists all over again! But don’t worry, for now we’ve covered the best events going on around this side of London and that includes the big day!

Pillow Cinema are kicking off their Christmas extravaganza from the 7th December, kicking off, quite rightly, with Die Hard and screening all of your favourite Christmas classics until the 22nd December. The cuddliest cinema in East London will be bringing you Elf, Home Alone, The Santa Clause, Muppet Christmas Carol and Gremlins and many more. Plus there will be mince pies and mulled wine on offer too. Need any more reasons to go?

From the 26th November to the 23rd December, East London is transforming into a winter wonderland as Winterville returns to Victoria Park! They’ve crammed the park with as many Christmas activities as possible for you to enjoy! There’s an action packed circus with performers from The Moscow State Circus, awe-inspiring acrobatics from African Whirlwind, comedy, cabaret and live music alongside some mega club nights. If that ain’t enough for ya, there’s a full fairground that features a giant ferris wheel, ice rink and even crazy golf, because who doesn’t love Christmas crazy golf? Inside, Bizarre Bazaar has popped up a fantastic Victorian-themed market and Mother Clucker, Crabbieshack and Smokestak will be serving up their delicious winter warmers to keep your bellies full and partying all night long! Entry is free, but booking tickets for the circus, cinema, crazy golf and ice rink Is highly recommended.

Get a last minute bit of shopping in and browse over 70 designer’s stalls, all selling their homemade jewelry, artwork, gifts and more. Live DJ’s will be pumping out the Christmas tunes alongside crafting workshops running throughout the night. The market is set inside the already Christmassy Geffrye Museum in Hoxton making the evening all the more festive!

From the 27th November to 22nd December, this saucy pop up guarantees some adult festive fun as a hidden space in Shoreditch turns into a glittering ice kingdom featuring plenty of weird and wonderful winter characters. The weekdays will bring you some mad ski-resort inspired parties and theme nights, and on the weekends, the venue transforms into a raging club with some of London’s best DJ’s and performers entertaining you with full on festive mania. Watch out for the pesky snowman and steer clear of the reindeer keepers…

If you’re here for Christmas and can’t bare the thought of any peeling, chopping, roasting and carving, then head to Hoxton Grill! The restaurant is serving up all your favourite Christmas staples from roast turkey to baked salmon, plus many other options, including suitable vegetarian options. The pudding options sound smashing too, with poached pears and mascarpone, mince pies and of course, good old Christmas pud! There are a few options to choose from from two 3-course meals to some littler bits to nibble on in a group. You’ll have to splash out a little bit, but we reckon it’ll definitely be worth the splurge. Book ahead early to avoid any disappointment; sittings are from 12PM – 3:30PM and 6PM – 9PM.
