From 3rd to 9th October, London Cocktail Week is back, enjoying its seventh year celebrating the capital’s colourful cocktail scene. From the bars and brands to the best mixed drinks available, this week-long festival honours the great and the good of the city’s cocktail scene. The festival hosts events, discounted serves and exclusive offers in over 200 bars across London. With a festival pass, you can enjoy everything from delicious £5 drinks to masterclasses and tasting tours. East London even boasts an epic Cocktail Village! The streets of Old Spitalfields Market will be lined with all manner of liquor to wet your whistle, featuring pop-up bars from a range of well-known booze brands. There’ll be new names to discover and fantastic food to soak up the spirits. The bars of Shoreditch itself will boast no less than eight festival events on our doorstep. From Rockaoke and Jack Daniel’s at London Cocktail Club to The Clumsies cocktail team at Callooh Callay bar, you won’t need to venture too far to get into the spirit of this week of world class cocktail consumption.

Celebrating rock, pop, indie and blues, Hackney Wonderland returns for its third year, bigger and better than ever. Hang out in Hackney on 15th and 16th October to experience the UK’s best indoor music festival. Showcasing some of the most prestigious and up and coming bands around, the festival takes place in five iconic music venues, all within a few minutes’ walk from each other. Catch the Mystery Jets, Yuck, We Are Scientists, Lucy Rose and many more taking to the stage.

From TV and movies to comics and gaming, MCM Comic Con events bring together a broad scope of popular culture categories. From 28th to 30th October, the event returns to ExCel London, calling all sci-fi fans and anime enthusiasts. Last year, this huge celebration of modern pop culture attracted over 120,000 fans. From taking part in eSports competitions to exploring the Comic Village with its many resident artists and writers, this is every nerd’s nirvana. Set to be bigger and better this year, pop culture fans can meet special guests from the many worlds portrayed by TV and film. Celebrating the country’s culture and heritage, Museums at Night is a festival of Lates in museums and galleries throughout the UK. From 27th to 29th October, you can enjoy a series of late-night, one-off events across the capital. Explore after hours and experience a host of quirky events, themed talks and immersive workshops. This three day, bi-annual festival sheds new light on London’s culture and history. You can wander around the galleries of the Natural History Museum, admiring the collection in a magical atmosphere with a glass of wine. Alternatively, discover the delights of Regency period cooking with acclaimed food historian and broadcaster, Dr Annie Grey.
