National Coming Out Day
I am a bit late for this since the actual day was on Staurday (11/10) but I still think it need some recognition.
National Coming Out Day is an annual civil awareness day that is celebrated to recognise process that people within the LGBT community have to go through when they come out with their sexuality for their friends and family.
To celebrate this I here give you…
The Dictionary’s “Top LGBT-bars in East London”-List Pt.1 .
George & Dragon
Located just around the corner from the hostel George & Dragon attracts a lot of the fabulous fahionistas, artsy creatives and cool design people. This is the place where you can be sure that they will be blasting off Bonie Tyler on a Friday night.
Shoreditch equals busy weekends so if you want to have a table you need to be there quite early but if you decide to go here you can be sure of having a great night.
Joiners Arms
Also just a minute or two from The Dictionary we have Joiners Arms, this friendly boozer is the perfect mix of a central London gay bar and the East London atmosphere. The first thing you will see when entering is the walls that in the writing moment is covered of a beautiful mural made by non other than David Shenton, go check it out!
Come here for karaoke, drag performances and drinks that won’t hurt your wallet as much as many other places.
Star of Bethnal Green
The Star of Bethnal Green is not officially gay but was one of the first places that was mentioned when I did my research for LGBT places in the area and if you go there you will understand why, it is grrrreat!
The pub brings a cosy pub feeling with tasty food options and fun pub quizzes on the weekdays and disco nights and great DJs for the weekends.
