New Year’s Eve In East London
Christmas is over for another year. Your bellies are full of turkey, roast potatoes, sprouts and you’ve eaten enough cheese and chocolate to see you through the next few months (or next few weeks…). But now it’s time to ring in the New Year and where better to do it than party central, East London. We’ve compiled a list of the best New Year’s Eve parties in Shoreditch and around the East End to help you decide where to celebrate the arrival of 2016. Get booking quickly though, these nights are bound to sell out soon!
Ditch the winter blues and head into Soundcrash’s Tropical themed NYE, with the always amazing Quantic and Gilles Peterson spinning the best tunes to get your 2016 started with some sweet tropical vibes. Expect the champagne to be flowing as Kode 9 and LV keep you dancing right through to the early hours of January 1st 2016. The last batches of tickets are on sale for £49.50, but these are selling fast so make sure you book quickly!
Hidden Depths NYE with Jungle (DJ set) and Eton Messy – Oval Space
Hidden Depths are kicking off their new brand of exciting music events on New Year’s Eve, bringing the amazing DJs from Jungle and the Eton Messy boys to Oval Space to get you grooving past midnight and into the morning. Makeness, Eliphino and Doc Daneeka will also be destroying the dance floors with their unique party-centric mixes. The Early Bird tickets are selling really fast at the insane price of £25 so get them whilst you can before the price rises to £40!
NYC X NYE – The Shacklewell Arms
We’re heading over to the Big Apple, baby! The Shacklewell Arms will be hosting a perfectly punk NYC themed night complete with some amazing prizes to be won throughout the night if you’re a dab hand at Beer Pong!
Expect to hear the likes of The Ramones, Blondie, Wu-Tang Clan, Sonic Youth and many more iconic tunes from NYC legends. Fancy dress is definitely encouraged as there are prizes for the best-dressed New Yorker (BRB, just perfecting our best Lou Reed get up)! Prizes to be won at the Beer Pong Championship include tickets to Field Day 2016 so how could you say no?

The NYE Egyptian Disco w/ Wayward & Reg Naylor – The Book Club
Get whisked away to ancient Egypt at The Book Club this New Year’s Eve for a night of drinking, dancing and debauchery! The basement will be turned into a tantalising tomb with Wayward and Reg Naylor playing the best dance music through midnight with their incredible sets. Meanwhile up on the ground floor, you could find yourself dancing next to the pyramids of Giza as the room transforms into an Egyptian paradise. The Shut The Front Door boys will be bringing their awesome brand of house and disco to top the night off. Get ready to walk like an Egyptian! Tickets still available from £15, grab em’ quick!
Hip-Hop VS R&B New Year’s Eve – Birthdays
The club night that’s had London grooving all night with their back-to-back clash of the genres hits up Birthdays for NYE. The resident DJs, Shortee Blitz (Kiss FM), Mr Thing and Russ Ryan are joined by DJ Swerve (Kiss FM), Dj Matman and CWD to battle it out over two rooms dedicated to hip-hop and R&B. Will you be bumpin’ & grindin’ with R.Kelly or gettin’ cray with Kanye and Jay? The last batches of tickets are selling super fast at £22.50, last year was a complete sell out so don’t miss out!
VICE New Year’s Eve House Party – The Old Blue Last
If you want your NYE celebrations cheap and to last for a good 8 hours, then get down to the VICE NYE House Party at The Old Blue Last. Details on appearances are being kept a sneaky secret at the moment, but whenever there’s a VICE party, there’s always a massive amount of love in the room, from the guests to the DJs. Groove across all floors of The Old Blue Last to be filled with different sounds from live DJs throughout the night. From 8PM to 4AM, get ready to bid farewell to 2015 and say hellooooo to 2016.
