NYE in London
Oh. My. God.
I can’t actually believe that its already NYE.
Honestly.
It makes me feel sick.
Here is a photo of me from last NYE.
My friends Andy (pictured) and Beckie had a nautical themed murder mystery party in their house. THAT THEY WROTE THEMSELVES. I played a Joan Crawford esq. character and was the murderer but I won through shear engenuity – as in I blamed other people. It was a really really good New Years.
Here is a photo of me from the NYE before that. I went dancing in Peckham and then to a house party at a morgue.
I am laying on one of trays in this photo and it is probably 5am.
Unfortunately, if you are visiting, you can’t go to the house party at the morgue. Or to Andy and Beckie’s for a drunken role-play game. Soz. But there are lots of other fun things to do. LOTS. And since, this year, I will be out of London in the Cotswolds dressed up like a creature from Blue Planet II with Cai the dog and a few friends, being generally wholesome, it would be great if you could tell us about your escapades.
So without further ado, here are the things I would get up to if I was in London, with venue guidance from our super cool resident Londoner Ciara, at the Front Desk.
Printworks is the best club in London, known for their amazing sound system, brilliant DJs and daytime parties. Although they’ve gotten an all-night license for NYE, it’s totally is sold out- but if you want the true Printworks experience, go to their Dub New Year’s Day party. On from 13:00-10:30, it’s a proper alternative party to the often oversubscribed, over rated New Year’s Eve party.
Phonox’s resident DJ HAAi is going to play for 8 hours straight. She’s so cool. Like, soooooo cool. And she plays a great mix of electronic music and disco and beats from around the world – its shouldn’t work, but it does. Like, really well. And the sound system O.M.ACTUAL.G. (featured photo)
This is where I would go for sure if I was going to be in London. Theme is Hollywood glamour, Karaoke from 8pm, DJs from 11pm and a FREE BUFFET. All for £9. Yes please.
Elephant and Castle club Corsica has 3 (THREE!) different New Year’s parties. One from 10pm NYE until 6am then one from 6am-4pm NY Day, and in case you haven’t had enough, one from 9pm-5am.
