Homeslice started life with just a hand-built wood-fired oven serving their delicious slices around the street food markets of London. 5 years later, and they have 3 fully fledged restaurants, one of which is right around the corner from us on Old Street! Using only the finest seasonal local produce, their wonderfully crisp pizzas come by the slice or by a giant 20″ whole pizza! You can even go 50/50 on the toppings if your dinner partner is being a fussy eater, they can have half margherita and you can have half anchovy, kalamata olives & caramelised onions. Stemming from humble, supper club beginnings in a Homerton backyard, Yard Sale Pizza grew in strength to set up their flagship shop in Clapton. With a mission to produce good quality takeaway pizza, they have since spread their wings to settle in North London too. Another Hackney haunt is Lardo. With its industrial-chic interior, this Italian-inspired restaurant serves home-cured charcuterie and pizzas to the fine folk of London Fields. Boasting a pizza oven in the guise of a giant disco ball (which is the best thing we’ve ever seen), Lardo offers Italian flavour with a New York feel. The pizza menu is continuously updated, with new flavours regularly road tested. From brunch to dinner and drinks, Lardo is a firm neighbourhood favourite.
