Things To Do In London This April

1 Apr , 2016 Things To Do In London

The Easter eggs may be gone (or if you’re lucky, on a mega sale), but the daffodils are well and truly out and the sun is finally shining down on London town! Spring is one of the best times to explore London, so take a look below to see what we recommend doing this April!

The London Marathon – 24th April

London Marathon - London

London Marathon – London

The world’s most famous marathon once again hits up the streets of London, as professional athletes, casual runners, and those in the most impractical of costumes try to beat their personal bests and raise some money along the way! The 26.2-mile race around London is a great sight to witness if you can squeeze through the crowds and the atmosphere is electric! Plus, you’ll get to see the celebs puffing it out, like Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer, Eastenders’ Charlie Brooks, and good old Chris Evans! The best place to watch is probably at the Tower of London, but make sure you get there early as it’s the busiest spot!

Secretsundaze – 30th April

The opening party for Secretsundaze is always one of the best events to start a summer of pure partying! This year, it’s their 15th anniversary so you know it’s gonna be an absolute stunner of an evening! Hosts James Priestly and Giles Smith bring a brilliant selection of the finest house, disco and techno DJ’s, such as Moxie, Lil’ Louis, Steffi, to make the evening truly unforgettable! The day starts at 2PM and finishes at 11PM so prepare your feet to dance. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, stick around for the after party until 5AM, to get a full 15 hours of partying in!

One of our favourite London events is back! Prepare to be caffeinated with the best beans in town as London Coffee Festival brings back over 150 vendors and brands to share their methods and secrets for creating the best brews. There will be plenty of demonstrations and talks throughout the event, alongside live music and the famous Coffee Masters, the ridiculously tough barista competition where some of the world’s best baristas battle it out for the chance to win the prestigious Coffee Master title and £5000 in cash! The competition is a sight to behold, so make sure you don’t miss it! Tickets absolutely fly for this event so grab your tickets while you can!

East London has many great record shops but it’s at the Independent Label Market that you’ll find some true gems from the UK’s best independent record labels, such as Fabric, Holy Roar, Fortuna Pop!, Heavenly and way, way more! There will be exclusive releases, signed copies and test pressings from the likes of David Lynch, Clap! Clap! and Wild Nothing so make sure you get there early with plenty of cash to spend! The day will be soundtracked by great DJ’s and accompanied by the London Brewer’s Market selling quality craft beers next door!

The Pancakes & Booze Art Show – 7th April

The USA’s largest underground art show comes back to London to showcase their huge array of emerging artists, specialising in paintings, photography, sculpture, graffiti and loads more! Plus, the day wouldn’t be called Pancakes & Booze Art Show, without some free pancakes. Yep, that’s right, FREE PANCAKES. There will be live workshops and body painting going on all day, alongside DJ’s and live music.
