Job Title: Receptionist 

Role: 6 week minimum placement

Salary: Paid and accommodation provided

Live-in: Yes

Hours:  40 hours per week

Role: We are a hostel situated in one of London’s most vibrant areas, Shoreditch! We are currently looking for a new member to join our reception team. You’ll have ideally held a customer service position before, and within the hospitality industry is a bonus! You’ll always arrive at the desk with a smile (even before your coffee)! You’ll be responsible for check-ins & check-outs, answering emails and dealing with problems in a friendly but professional manner. An additional language is an essential as we have guests arrive from all over the world. Something we always look for is East London fanatics. You know the best place to get a burger, the best place to drink a cocktail, the best place to party… You have the power to make our guests’ stay a wonderful experience! The only thing they’ll regret is THAT cocktail!! Wage: £7.5, 40-48 hours per week. Please note: It is a Live out position. Pleas e not call at reception to inquire about the position.

Wage: £7.50 per hour, 40-48 hours per week. 

Shifts: You will be asked to undertake a range of shifts. These will be both daytime shifts and night shifts.

The Dictionary Hostel is East London’s first youth hostel with over 200 beds, a restaurant, bar, coffee shop and public launderette. We have over 30,000 guests per year who come from all over the world and fall in the 18-35 year age range. The hostel is owned by husband and wife team, Peter and Eliska Finlay who bring passion and enthusiasm as well as creativity and flexibility to the company culture.
